The world’s grandest literary show is back and like me, I know you are also very excited to witness the splendid feast of ideas. Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) is more than just a literary festival for Jaipurites. They wait a whole year for it to happen. They wait to meet their favorite authors, speakers, artists, and actors, they wait for the grand music stage, but most of all, they wait to show off the looks that they had been planning all year!
Here's everything you need to know about the festival that celebrates art, culture, and heritage.
Dates: 19 to 23 January 2023
Venue: Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur
The venue has been divided into 6 parts, named: Front Lawn, Charbagh, Mughal Tent, Durbar Hall, Baithak, and Jaipur Book Mark.
The Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF), will host over 250 speakers from across an array of nationalities, as well as recipients of major awards such as the Nobel, the Booker, International Booker, the Pulitzer, the Sahitya Akademi, Baillie Gifford, PEN America Literary Awards, the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature and the JCB Prize for Literature.
Throughout the Festival days, there will be a variety of insightful sessions, food stalls to explore, fascinating music to listen to, and a buzzing carnival with a bookstore, as well as multiple parties hosted on the Festival’s fringes.
The Festival Buzzar will also give visitors the opportunity to sample India’s vast artisanal repertoire – The Festival Buzzar will take place at Hotel Clarks Amer on all five days.
Jaipur Music Stage celebrates “all things music”, with a variety of music genres coming together on the same platform, along with exciting collaborations between diverse artistes, with the aim of transcending borders, genres, and prejudices.
